First, a matter of terminology. As for the words “quiz”, “test” and “exam”, we call an automatically marked series of questions a Quiz, and a manually marked one an Exam.

Creating quizzes and exams is easy. Just like the Review Questions, the questions can be any size you want and can contain any type of web content.
Minimum Pass Mark and Re-Take
You can set a minimum pass mark anywhere from 0% to 100%. The standard seems to be set at 100% with the Enable Re-Take turned on. This gives you self-corrected to 100% performance.
Upon a re-take, you can also allow the Navigation to open so Students can easily look up and learn the correct answers.
Quiz Summary
When a student completes a quiz, they can see their entire quiz with all their selected answers marked correct or incorrect. You can choose whether this is shown or not.
In the Records, you can bring up any Quiz Summary for any Student in any Course at any time.
Quiz Certificate
You can choose to have the system automatically issue a branded Certificate by e-mail upon a Student achieving the minimum pass mark. You can also set who gets these (usually the Student and their supervisor or the Training Manager).
Typically, if the quiz is inside a course, then this feature is turned off if you have a Minimum Pass Mark set. That is because they can not complete the course until they pass the quiz, so when they get their Course Completion Certificate, you know they passed the quiz.
Certificates can be accessed in the records at any time. There is also the option of a print resolution PDF format certificate.
Question Reference Page Link
For each question, you can easily add a reference hyperlink to the page that the question refers to, so students can learn the answers. This is similar to an “open book” test.
Manually Marked Exams
You can set a quiz to be manually marked. In this case, the Instructor assigned to that course can log in and see a list of Students waiting for marking. The Instructor can view each student’s complete exam. Any multiple choice questions have already been scored, and the Instructor can manually assign a mark to long answer questions and a final score for the exam.
Question Bank
Same as for Review Questions, you can add your questions to your Question Bank, and assign them key words. When making new quizzes or exams, you can search for questions on a particular subject and pop them in with a couple clicks.
Tracked and Documented
Like everything else in the system, you have a record of the quiz or exam and the date and time it was completed. With the optional Profile fields, you can include info like the person’s Pilot Certificate number on the Quiz Summary.
