Training Developer Role

Complex Instructions
Add your voice narration to your training course content super easily! When creating or editing existing Content pages in a module, just click the microphone button and, make a voice recording for the page. It uses your computer’s microphone (USB, standalone, headset, built-in, etc.). It’s as simple as click-record-click-end. Full instructions are in the Help file in Training Developer role. The sound file uses our intelligent ‘streaming’ technology to deliver sound that is optimized for the user’s internet connection speed.
For PowerPoint content, this is especially good as PowerPoint slides are usually just the highlight bullet points that accompany an instructor-led classroom lecture. By themselves, these slides usually are not useful for training, so you normally have to type out text of what the instructor would say. Now, just import your PowerPoint slides and have the SME (Subject Matter Expert) sit down and record the lecture details for each page. Voiceover is on module ‘Content’ pages only, but you can go to any existing Content pages and add your voiceover to it. You can also remove or re-record voiceovers for pages any time.

2. NEW! Student Calendar
You may have noticed this very useful new feature on the STUDENT role desk (‘home’) page. It displays the most recently upcoming important things directly up front to the Student. These include:
Assigned Training Due Dates
Completed Training Expiries
Off-Line Training Expiries
Documents Expiries
The content of this calendar is automatically drawn from the system’s records.
TIP: Tell Students to just log in to their training desk regularly. They will see not only all the online training assigned to them and when it’s due, but also other things like off-line First Aid or other courses due for recertification, expiring licences, medicals, etc., and more. The most recent upcoming things are at the top, and the student can super easily scroll both forward and back in time to view more.
We have already received great feedback from clients who say this feature will really help them improve their operations by putting the most important things right in the Students’ face when they log in.

3. NEW! Company Facebook Feed
Does your company have a Facebook page which is kept up to date and contains useful news and info your staff should know about? You can integrate directly into the Student’s Desk (home) page. All you need to do is send us an email with the link to your company’s Facebook page we will activate the feature. There is no charge for this. The feed displays in the lower right half of the Student’s desk page.
